Make It! Workshop: Mending

Join us for our first Make It! Workshop of 2025 at Electric City Barn: MENDING!

On Wednesday August 27th, 2025, There’s 2 ways to learn mending techniques in this workshop! Learn Visual Mending techniques by Pat of Adirondack Packs and learn Practical Mending techniques by Tia of This, That and Another Thing.

Registration is required ahead of the event to account for space and materials. Materials included with ticket price (patches, fabric, zippers, buttons, fasteners, thread, needles, etc…) Techniques will be hand-sewing techniques only.

*Please only bring a maximum of 2-3 items to mend during the event. There is no guarantee that all brought items will be fixed, but you should walk away with the techniques and skills to do so!

*Attendees need to be 18+ years of age.

Mending Workshop Schedule:

Wednesday August 27th, 2025 at Electric City Barn (400 Craig Street, Schenectady NY 12307) from 5:30PM-7:30PM

• 5:30PM-6PM Group Work: With either Visual or Practical Mending
• 6PM-6:30PM Group Work: Switch Techniques
• 6:30PM-7:30PM Individual Work: With Teaching Artist Guidance
